The watches we spotted on celebrities this week were all about dials. Open-worked, double-signed, stone… You name it, celebs wore it.
Robert Pattinson: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronometre Perpetual Calendar

Two stars of The Odyssey wore truly epic watches at the film’s world premiere on Monday. Robert Pattinson and Corey Hawkins both hit the red carpet in London wearing Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces. Pattinson’s steel Master Control Chronometre Perpetual Calendar was the standout, having only been unveiled at Watches and Wonders in April. (The rose-gold iteration was one of our lifestyle director’s W&W favorites, in fact.) The newcomer features a refined 39 mm case that measures just 9.2 mm thick yet packs a ton of complications. The blue-gray sunray dial centers around a highly legible perpetual calendar display that shows the seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, and phases of the moon. Rounding out the design is a seamlessly integrated steel bracelet with brushed and polished finishes. It will cost you $45,700.
Jay-Z: Patek Philippe Cubitus
Jay-Z and his luxury watches have become fixtures of the FIFA World Cup. For the Brazil vs Norway game, the hip-hop mogul strapped on a Patek Philippe Cubitus (Reference 5821/1A). Not just any Cubitus, either: This particular piece appears to feature an ultra-rare double-signed dial, with another brand name emblazoned at 6 o’clock. It is most likely Tiffany & Co., given Hov and his wife, Beyoncé, are, of course, both brand ambassadors for the jewelry house. A regular Ref. 5821/1A with a 45 mm steel case and a green sunburst dial costs $45,512 through Patek, but one retailed by Tiffany can sell for over $300,000 on the secondary market.
Gunna: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Self-Winding Malachite

Gunna flexed one of the hottest new APs on stage at a festival in Finland this week. Released earlier this year, the Royal Oak builds upon the turquoise-dial iterations that the Swiss watchmaker released in 2023, but showcases a fresh malachite face. The dial is free of the fancy complications that AP loves, showing only indices and hands. That makes the malachite the main focus. The yellow-gold piece comes in two sizes: a 41 mm version ($81,900) with the Caliber 4309 and a 70-hour power reserve, or a 37 mm version ($75,700) with the Caliber 5909 and a 60-hour power reserve.
Dwayne Johnson: Jacob & Co. Matai Tourbillon

Moana is back, and so is Dwayne Johnson and his favorite Jacob & Co. The Rock rocked his bespoke tourbillon to the premiere of Moana, the live-action remake, in L.A. on Tuesday. (He also wore it to the premiere of Moana 2 in 2024.) Within the large 45 mm rose-gold case lies a black-and-gold dial inspired by Johnson’s own tribal-style tattoo, which pays homage to his Samoan roots. At six o’clock sits a one-minute flying tourbillon, adding another aesthetic punch. Named after the Samoan word for “chief” or “leader,” the Matai tourbillon also nods to Johnson’s character, Maui, who is the demigod of the wind and sea. The one-off is valued at $265,000.
Damson Idris: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked

Charles Leclerc wasn’t the only gent wearing a winning timepiece at the British GP. F1 star Damson Idris shone bright trackside, with a newly released Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked on his wrist. Unveiled in 2016, this revolutionary watch was the first in the world to have an open-worked movement featuring not one but two balance wheels. AP has released several variations over the years, with this particular iteration dialing up the opulence factor. Introduced earlier this year, the piece is almost entirely gold. The 37 mm case, integrated bracelet, and crown are all 18-karat yellow gold, while the movement and inner bezel are finished in a matching gold tone. That decidedly glitzy, monochromatic aesthetic sets this Royal Oak apart from others in the lineup. It is priced at $103,000.
Bradley Cooper: IWC Big Pilot’s Watch

A big wedding calls for a big watch—a very big watch. Bradley Cooper strapped on IWC’s aptly named Big Pilot’s Watch for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s big day. This behemoth features a 46.2 mm steel case and clean, black dial with a date window at 6 o’clock and a power reserve display at 3 o’clock. That power is worth showing off, too, given the in-house automatic movement (Caliber 52111) provides some seven days of juice. Cooper wasn’t the only one rocking big bling at the wedding: Patrick Mahomes wore a Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon, and Selena Gomez sported Chopard jewelry. The Big Pilot’s Watch retails for $13,900.
Andrew Garfield: IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35

We love a sneaky debut. Andrew Garfield wore the latest IWC to Wimbledon a couple of days before it was officially released; such is the beauty of a tight relationship with a Swiss watchmaker. The new Ingenieur Automatic 35 (Ref. IW324902) features the same hallmarks as Gérald Genta’s 1970s original, such as a sleek steel case, an integrated steel bracelet, and a grid-pattern dial, but is smaller and brighter. Inside the more compact 35 mm case lies a new Pool-colored dial that screams summer. You can pick one up for $11,200.
